EVENT-IP has always delivered its core services via Satellite , and we believe we are by far the most advanced company delivering IP service via Satellite to events out there. We use satellite as it is the only way to get guaranteed bandwidth and service to a remote location. We do use other technologies such as Fibre and ADSL but only as a extra on top of the Satellite system. We would never attempt an event without the backup and dependability of Satellite. The problem with locally sourced land based systems is they almost never deliver on their promised performance , also you are depending on local telecoms companies to deliver these services who rarely understand the urgency of the needs of an event.


Local services are problematic for the following reasons :-

  • Cost
  • Dependance on local telecoms provider
  • Very susceptible to damage (hard lines are frequently damaged in outside event environments)
  • Performance (ADSL is designed as a domestic product and is not suitable for large numbers of users and is very unsuitable for uploading and streaming)

 

Satellite is however a totally independent solution. It is managed end to end by EVENT-IP and it all setup and controlled in house with EVENT-IP and its partners. There are other events communications companies out there offering services via satellite but they are simply reselling commercial off the shelf packages. EVENT-IP is different because we setup bespoke high capacity links to suit your needs. All of our backhaul routing equipment if Cisco who are the industry standard when it comes to high end routing and switching equipment. All of our systems are UPS (uninterruptible power supply) protected to ensure brief power outages to not cause any problems , even out Wi-Fi access points are UPS protected. All of out Wi-Fi equipment is state of the art (See Altai Super Wi-fi).


We can supply VOIP on whatever scale you need and also GSM and 3G pico cells providing your event with mobile phone coverage even if there is non normally available in your location.
